History

The CENTRE DE CHIRURGIE PLASTIQUE LAUSANNE was founded in 1977 by the doctors Rodolphe Meyer and Ulrich Kesselring.

They had thus founded, in collaboration with Dr. Willy-André Jaques, the first clinical center exclusively specialized in plastic-reconstructive, aesthetic and maxillofacial surgery. The activities of the group were focused on congenital malformations, cancer or accident caused mutilations as well as on aesthetic surgery.

In cooperation with the Swiss Society for Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the CPL became soon a renowned and recognized center for the postgraduate training of the young plastic surgeons

Many successful plastic surgeons had spent some training time at the CPL during their carreer.

The dynamic team of the CPL maintains close contacts with the international elite of the profession in order to keep abreast with the latest developments and achievements in the field of plastic surgery. Today, the group consists of the senior partner, Prof. ISAPS Dr. Ulrich Kesselring and, since 1996 Dr. Jean-François Emeri, former chief resident at the Lausanne University Hospital.
